Thomas Corporate Team Building Program

“That was fun and my team enjoyed the time we spent together, but, what now?

For many participants of corporate team building programs, this is the typical reaction at the end of the program. Your team learns to "play nice" for a day but as the manager you are often left wondering:

  • How can my team now achieve next quarter's sales targets?
  • How can my team get aligned to deliver on the promised objectives to our client group?
  • How can I get my team excited about the new system we are implementing?
  • How can we drive this company from a $10 million company to a $100 million company?

The two elements that are missing in most corporate team building programs are linking the learning to the overall business goals and giving people real strategies to use in their jobs. The Thomas Internatioanl USA corporate team building program focuses on these two critical elements.

Team Building

Thomas' corporate team building programs can be completed during a half day to two days, depending on your needs. The team building program begins by gaining clarity on the business goals and understanding the team objectives. During our team building exercises, team members discover the factors that will drive success in their roles and help the team achieve their objectives. Team members always discover that it is the soft skills (behavior or personality) and not the hard skills (technical skills and education) that top their list of factors that drive success. Team members are then guided by one of our experienced facilitators through a discovery of their natural behavioral style, other members' natural style and the natural style or culture of the team.

Using the Team Culture Analysis report from the Thomas talent management system, team members are able to discover the ideal team culture to achieve their business goals. Team and individual action items are developed to align the actual team with the ideal team. At the end of the corporate team building program, members have acquired the following knowledge and skills:

  • Clarity on the team business goals and objectives
  • How to communicate effectively within their specific team
  • A common language for understanding of oneself, one another and the team as a whole
  • Individual and team action plans to deliver on the business goals and objectives
